A landslide has closed a part of the West Coast Most important Line.
The southbound part at Dutton Viaduct, close to Warrington, has been shut after it was broken in a landslip brought on by Storm Jorge.
Community Rail stated there will likely be delays for a number of days whereas it carries out “emergency repairs”.
Trains between Liverpool and London Euston will likely be delayed in addition to providers from Glasgow and Edinburgh to London by way of Preston.
Avanti West Coast stated providers between Crewe and Runcorn and Crewe to Warrington Financial institution Quay will likely be “severely disrupted”.
